Begin in the Pink City of Jaipur — forts, palaces, and 300 years of Rajput grandeur. Drive through the ancient stepwell of Abhaneri en route to Ranthambore — one of India’s finest tiger reserves, where Bengal tigers roam freely through the ruins of a 10th-century fort. Two full safari days give you the best possible chance of a tiger sighting. On the return, discover Bundi — Rajasthan’s best-kept secret — a small walled town of indigo-painted houses, a palace spilling down a hillside, and a fort covered in some of the finest murals in the subcontinent. Return to Jaipur for a full city tour before departure. A perfect blend of thrilling wildlife, UNESCO-level heritage, and authentic off-beat Rajasthan — all in a neat loop from Jaipur.

Arrive at Jaipur Airport or Railway Station and meet our representative for a warm welcome transfer to your hotel. After check-in and some rest, begin your evening sightseeing of India's first planned city. Visit the iconic Hawa Mahal — the 953-windowed Palace of Winds — glowing rose-pink in the fading light, followed by a photo stop at the beautifully lit Albert Hall Museum. Stroll through the glittering Johari Bazaar, Jaipur's legendary jewellery and gem market. Return to the hotel for a traditional Rajasthani welcome dinner. Overnight in Jaipur.
After breakfast, check out and drive east toward Ranthambore with a fascinating en-route stop at Chand Baori in Abhaneri — one of the largest and most spectacular stepwells in the world, built in the 9th century with 3,500 narrow steps descending 13 storeys into the earth in breathtaking geometric symmetry. Allow an hour here before continuing to Ranthambore. Check in to your jungle lodge on the edge of the reserve. In the evening, attend a detailed wildlife briefing by your expert naturalist guide — learn about the tigers, their territories, prey behaviour, and what to expect on tomorrow's safari. Enjoy a warm bonfire dinner at the lodge under the forest sky. Overnight at Ranthambore.
Rise before dawn for your morning jeep safari into Ranthambore National Park — one of India's finest tiger reserves where Bengal tigers are spotted with remarkable frequency. The park is extraordinary not just for its tigers but for its dramatic landscape — ancient banyan trees, lily-covered lakes, marsh crocodiles, and the haunting ruins of the 10th-century Ranthambore Fort rising dramatically above the jungle canopy. Keep your eyes on the grasslands and dry riverbeds as tigers are most active in the cool early hours. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and rest through the midday hours. Head back into the reserve for your afternoon safari — the golden light through the forest is spectacular and predator activity picks up again as the temperature cools. Dinner and overnight at your jungle lodge.
After an early breakfast, check out of your jungle lodge and drive southwest to Bundi — one of Rajasthan's most enchanting and least-visited towns, tucked into a rocky gorge in the Aravalli hills. Check in and head straight into the old town. Visit the magnificent Taragarh Fort for sweeping panoramic views over the indigo-blue painted houses below and the shimmering Nawal Sagar lake. Explore the Bundi Palace — its legendary Chitrashala (hall of paintings) contains some of the finest Rajput murals in all of India, depicting hunting scenes, court processions, and mythological tales in vivid cobalt blue and gold. Visit the beautifully carved Raniji ki Baori stepwell and stroll the old bazaar lanes as the town settles into its unhurried evening rhythm. Overnight in Bundi.
After breakfast, check out and drive northwest back to Jaipur. On arrival, check in and freshen up before heading out for a full afternoon city tour of the Pink City. Visit the majestic Amber Fort — a hilltop palace above Maota Lake with its legendary Sheesh Mahal, where a single candle reflects into a thousand points of light across every mirrored surface. Explore the royal City Palace, still partly inhabited by Jaipur's royal family, and Jantar Mantar — the UNESCO-listed open-air astronomical observatory with the world's largest sundial. In the evening, browse the colourful Bapu Bazaar for block-print textiles and blue pottery. Enjoy a farewell dinner at one of Jaipur's finest heritage restaurants. Overnight in Jaipur.
After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at leisure — visit the Birla Mandir for a quiet start to the day or pick up last-minute souvenirs from the local markets. Check out and transfer to Jaipur Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. Tour ends in Jaipur with memories of royal forts, tiger-filled jungles, indigo-painted towns, and the timeless Pink City.
Frequently Asked Questions
General
The package includes daily breakfast and dinner, private AC transportation for all transfers and sightseeing, 5 nights accommodation (1 night Jaipur, 2 nights Ranthambore jungle lodge, 1 night Bundi, 1 night Jaipur), 2 jeep safaris with an expert naturalist guide, evening wildlife briefing, driver allowance, toll and parking charges, and all applicable taxes. Flights, train tickets, lunches, monument entry fees, and Ranthambore National Park entry fees are not included.
The park is open October to June. The best months for tiger sightings are April to June — water sources dry up, forcing tigers to visit waterholes frequently, making sightings almost daily. November to February is peak tourist season with pleasant weather and good sighting chances. March is excellent as well. Avoid July to September as the park is closed during monsoon season.
Yes, this is an excellent family package. Children above 5 years are allowed on jeep safaris in Ranthambore. The itinerary is well-paced with no rushed drives, and the mix of wildlife, forts, and stepwells keeps all age groups engaged. Jungle lodges typically have family rooms and child-friendly meals available. Please inform us of the number and ages of children at the time of booking.
Absolutely. We can add an extra night at Ranthambore for a third safari, extend with a Udaipur or Agra leg, or add a night at Pushkar between Jaipur and Ranthambore. We can also adjust hotel categories from standard to deluxe or luxury. Please contact our travel desk for a customised itinerary and quote.
Safari & Wildlife
Two jeep safaris are included — both on Day 3. The morning safari runs from approximately 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM and the evening safari from approximately 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Safari timings vary slightly by season as they follow sunrise and sunset. Both safaris are conducted in a shared or private 6-seater open jeep (Gypsy) with a Forest Department certified naturalist guide.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed as animals are free in their natural habitat. However, Ranthambore has one of the highest tiger sighting rates in India — with 2 safaris on the same day, the probability is very good, especially between November and June. Apart from tigers, you are almost certain to spot spotted deer, sambar, nilgai, marsh crocodiles, rhesus macaques, and a rich variety of bird species including painted storks and kingfishers.
Ranthambore is divided into 10 zones. Zones 1 to 5 are the core zones with the highest tiger density and are strongly recommended. Zone 3 (Rajbagh area) and Zone 4 (Malik Talao) are historically the most productive for tiger sightings. Zones 6 to 10 are buffer zones with lower sighting frequency. We request preferred zones at the time of booking but final zone allocation is done by the Forest Department and is subject to availability.
A shared jeep (Gypsy) accommodates up to 6 passengers and is shared with other tourists — it is the standard option included in this package. A private jeep means the entire vehicle is reserved exclusively for your group, offering a more personalised experience with your naturalist guide. A private canter (20-seater open vehicle) is also available for larger groups. Private safaris can be arranged at an additional charge — please request at the time of booking.
- Wear neutral, earthy tones — khaki, olive, brown, or beige. Avoid bright colours and white.
- Carry a light jacket or fleece for morning safaris (November–February can be cold at dawn)
- Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for afternoon safaris
- Carry a camera with a zoom lens if possible — a 200mm or longer is ideal for wildlife photography
- Binoculars are highly recommended
- Carry a water bottle and light snacks — no food is allowed inside the park
- Silence is essential — speak softly and switch phones to silent mode
Accommodation
At Ranthambore, accommodation is at a jungle lodge or wildlife resort on the boundary of the national park. Depending on your chosen category, this could range from a comfortable 3-star lodge to a luxury tented camp or heritage property. All properties have attached bathrooms, hot water, and meals. We recommend properties like Ranthambore Regency, Sawai Vilas, or Khem Villas depending on budget — please ask our team for specific recommendations.
Yes. Bundi has a small but excellent selection of heritage guesthouses and boutique hotels, many housed in restored havelis with rooftop terraces overlooking the old town and Taragarh Fort. Options like Bundi Vilas and Ishwari Niwas Palace offer a wonderfully authentic experience. Bundi is an offbeat destination so properties are smaller and more intimate than Jaipur or Ranthambore — this is part of its charm.
Sightseeing & Destinations
No, monument entry fees are not included and are payable directly at each site. Key fees to budget for: Amber Fort (~₹200 for Indians, ₹550 for foreigners), City Palace Jaipur (~₹700), Jantar Mantar (~₹200), Ranthambore Fort (included within safari entry), Bundi Palace (~₹100), Chand Baori Abhaneri (~₹50). All fees are indicative and subject to change.
Allow approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour at Chand Baori. The stepwell is compact but extraordinary in its geometry — you will want time to walk around all four sides, descend to the lower levels, and photograph the symmetrical steps from different angles. It is best visited before 11 AM when the light falls directly into the well and before the midday heat sets in. The adjacent Harshat Mata Temple is also worth a quick visit.
Bundi sits naturally on the route between Ranthambore and Jaipur and adds tremendous value to the circuit. It is one of Rajasthan's most authentic and least-commercialised towns — the kind of place most tourists never visit. Its palace murals are rated among the finest Rajput paintings in India, its stepwells are ancient and magnificent, and its old town of indigo-blue painted houses is extraordinarily photogenic. Adding a Bundi overnight transforms this from a standard wildlife trip into a truly memorable Rajasthan experience.
Practical Information
Jaipur is well connected by air (Jaipur International Airport has direct flights from most major Indian cities and several international destinations), rail (Jaipur Junction is on the main Delhi–Mumbai line with excellent connectivity), and road (280 km from Delhi via NH-48 expressway, approximately 4.5 hours). Our representative will meet you at the airport, railway station, or bus stand as per your arrival details.
Cancellations made 30 or more days before departure receive a full refund minus booking fee. Cancellations 15–29 days before departure incur a 25% charge. Cancellations 7–14 days before departure incur a 50% charge. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. Please note that Ranthambore safari permits are non-refundable once booked, as they are allocated by the Forest Department.
The Jaipur and Bundi components of the package are available year-round. However, Ranthambore National Park is closed from 1st July to 30th September every year during the monsoon season. During this period, we can substitute Ranthambore with an alternative wildlife destination such as Sariska Tiger Reserve (also in Rajasthan, ~200 km from Jaipur) to keep the wildlife element of the package intact. Please check availability with our team if travelling between July and September.
